To keep pace with continuing population
growth, demand for additional healthcare services, diversity
and culture changes, Rowan Regional Medical Center and
its Foundation have initiated a $25,000,000 fundraising
campaign in support of the expansion and renovation
of the Emergency Department and the construction of
two floors of private patient rooms for 64 inpatients
on top of the Wilson L. Smith Family Outpatient Center.

“We all have so many
requests these days for financial support for other
campaigns in our area, but of all those campaigns, I’m
convinced that this campaign will have the biggest impact
on the greatest number of people than anything else
we can do,” emphasized Ronald L. Smith, General
Chairman of the Partners in Progress
Capital Campaign.
“By participating in the Partners in Progress
Capital Campaign, we can impact the lives of every citizen
and every family in our community as well as make a
huge difference here at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Just about everyone at some point in their lifetime
will either use this facility or have a family member
that uses this facility, and that will come at some
of the most critical times in their lives. What better
way can we help the community, our Medical Center and
every citizen by providing them with the very best in
medical care that we possibly can,” Mr. Smith
explained.
“It’s been said that, ‘If
you have your health, you have everything,’ and
I cannot think of a better way for each of us to have
a real impact on the quality of life here in Rowan County
and on the healthcare that is needed by all of our citizens,”
he concluded.
