President's Awards Dinner Annually, the President's Awards Dinner is Rowan Regional Medical Center Foundation’s major event to express appreciation and gratitude to Rowan Regional’s contributors and friends and to present prestigious awards to major benefactors and loyal advocates. $500+ Donors Receive Invitations Contributors of $500 and more annually are invited to this donor recognition event. Typically, 250 guests attend the reception, dinner and presentation program.

2006 Legacy Award Recipients

The highlight of the Foundation's 2006 Awards Dinner was the inaugural presentation of the first Legacy Award to Mr. and Mrs. Wilson L. Smith. Through their extraordinary philanthropy, dedicated service and international advocacy in support of Rowan Regional Medical Center and its Foundation, Evelyeen and Wilson Smith have established a personal and permanent legacy by enabling and promoting the creation of quality healthcare facilities and services at the Medical Center to benefit current and future generations of Rowan County residents. President’s Award President’s Award, presented by Charles W. Elliot, Jr. CEO of Rowan Regional Medical Center, is usually given to one or two couples “in recognition of extraordinary philanthropy and sustained service in support of Rowan Regional Medical Center and the advancement of healthcare in Rowan County.” This award was initiated in 1995. The first recipients of this award were Dr. and Mrs. Glenn A. Kiser, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson L. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald L. Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Timothy R. Smith.

Heritage Society Honors Friends of Rowan Regional Medical Center and its Foundation who include either organization in their wills, trusts, gift annuities or insurance policies are honored as members of the Foundation’s Heritage Society. A special crystal memento is presented to the newest Heritage Society members during the President’s Awards Dinner.
